Deep General Store

Deep General Store is located at Shop Number 12 in Avtar Market, right on the Main Dugri Road here in Ludhiana. This area of 141003 stays pretty busy throughout the day. I’ve got a lot of different things squeezed into the shop. It’s a general store, so I try to stock whatever the local families might need, like cooking oil, spices, or snacks for the kids. The shop isn't huge, so sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. I spend a lot of time sitting on my stool near the entrance watching the traffic go by on Dugri Road. It’s a good way to stay connected to the neighborhood. I’ve known many of my customers since they were small kids and now they bring their own children in. We don't have any big signs or complicated systems. I just remember what everyone likes and try to keep those things in stock. Sometimes the floor gets a bit cluttered with new crates of soda or bread that just arrived from the warehouse. I just move them when I get a chance. It’s a humble place and I’m fine with that. It provides what is needed and keeps me working. Ludhiana is a loud city but inside the shop, it feels a bit more like home for me and the regulars. We just try to keep things simple and keep the basics available for everyone.
