Darshan Lal General Store

I’ve been sitting in this shop in Shivpuri for quite a while now. The address is 1133/37, 1, over in Ludhiana, right by Shankar Puri. It's a busy enough spot most days. People walk past all day, and many stop in for their regular stuff. I keep a bit of everything on the shelves because you never know what someone might need at the last minute. Sometimes it's a packet of tea, other times it's just some soap or household things. The morning starts early here when the milk arrives, and usually, I’m still here late into the evening. It’s not a fancy place, just a normal general store where the locals come. Shivpuri gets quite loud in the afternoons, but I’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. I try to keep things organized, but sometimes the boxes pile up in the corner when a new delivery comes in. It’s just me and maybe one other person helping out most days. We don't do anything special, just sell the basic things people need for their houses. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to neighbors about the weather or how the local market is doing. Some days are slow, and I just sit on the stool watching the traffic go by. Other days, three people want something at the same time and I’m rushing around. That’s just how it goes here in Ludhiana.
