Jain Shawls

It is a bit of a trek to get out to Bahadur Ke Road sometimes, especially when the Dana Mandi is busy. Jain Shawls is located right where the action is. When the season changes, this place gets really packed with woolens. We have stacks of shawls reaching up to the ceiling in some corners. It is not a very quiet area because of all the trucks and the market nearby. You can hear the sounds of the Mandi all day long. We do not have a fancy display window or anything like that. Most of our stock is kept in large bundles. We spend our time checking the weave and making sure nothing is snagged before it goes out. It is a bit dusty on Bahadur Ke Road, but we are used to it by now. The business has been here for years and years. We know most of the regular transporters and the tea sellers around here. Sometimes we sit out on the front steps when it is not too hot. We do not use any big words to describe what we do. We just make and sell shawls. The address is quite well known in the local trade circles. When people ask for Jain Shawls, they know they have to head towards the Dana Mandi area. It is a practical location for our type of work. We stay busy with the orders and just keep things moving along.
