We’ve been here on Rahon Road for quite a while now. Most folks in Guru Vihar know the building. We spend our days dealing with wool and various types of threads. It gets pretty busy inside when the machines are all running at the same time. The noise is something you just get used to after a week or two. Our setup in Civil Line isn't fancy, but it does what it needs to do. Some of the guys have been working these machines for years. They know exactly how to fix a snag without even looking too hard. We start early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up, to get a head start on the day's orders. There are boxes piled up near the door waiting to be moved out. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a quick break, but mostly it's just focus on the knitting. It's a lot of physical work, honestly. Your hands get tired by the afternoon from handling the fabrics. We try to keep the floors clear, but there’s always a bit of lint floating around. That’s just how it is with knitwear. Being tucked away here, we don't get a lot of random foot traffic, which is fine by us. We just stick to the schedule and make sure the items are ready. It’s a simple life on Rahon Road, just keeping the production going day after day.
