Chawla General Store

Our shop is Chawla General Store on Shivaji Nagar Road in Ludhiana. We are located at B23/4658, which is just opposite Satyam Hospital. Being near a hospital means we get all sorts of people coming in. Some are locals from Samrala Road and others are just passing through. We sell a bit of everything, from toiletries to snacks and basic household goods. The shop is usually a bit cluttered because we have so much stuff packed into a small space. We don't have any fancy lighting or modern shelves. It’s all old wooden cupboards and glass jars. I spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who have been coming here for years. Ludhiana is a loud city and the traffic on Samrala Road is constant. You can always hear horns honking outside. We open quite early in the morning. Sometimes it's hard to find where I put a specific item, but eventually, I get it. We don't use any fancy software to track our inventory. It's all done by looking at the shelves and knowing what's missing. The counter is usually covered with small items like candies and pens. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes but we know our way around. We just provide what the local community needs without any fuss. The hospital visitors often need quick things like bottled water or soap, so we keep those handy.
