Bobby General Store

We’ve been here at Ludhiana Subhash Bridge 12 for quite a while now. Bobby General Store is basically where folks from around the neighborhood come when they realize they forgot something for dinner or need a quick snack. It’s not a huge place, just a regular shop where we try to keep the shelves stocked with the usual things people ask for every day. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the afternoons when the kids come by after school, but that’s just how it is. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. My cousin helps out behind the counter most mornings, and I take over later on. We don’t have fancy displays or anything, just plain metal shelves and a fridge that hums a bit too loud in the summer. If you’re looking for something specific and we don’t have it, we usually try to get it in by the next week. It’s a simple way to make a living and keeps us busy. We mostly deal in cash, though we’ve started taking some digital payments lately because everyone asks for it. The shop stays open pretty late most nights because people always seem to run out of milk or bread right before bed. It’s just a normal store run by normal people who live right around the corner. We like the noise from the bridge, it makes the day go by faster and keeps things feeling alive.
