Avis Garments

Avis Garments is located at 17/1 Bhaura Colony, which is right near the Jalandhar Bye Pass. Since we are so close to the main road, we can always hear the trucks and buses going past. Our place is a mix of a workshop and a small storage area for all the fabrics we use. It’s not a fancy clothing store with mirrors and lights. It is a place where real work happens. We have several sewing machines set up in rows, and the sound of them running is what you hear all day long. There are bits of thread and fabric scraps all over the floor. We have a few local workers who come in every morning to start the stitching. We don't have a big office or a showroom. If someone wants to see our garments, they just come into the main workroom and look at what is on the tables. It gets quite dusty because of all the lint from the cloth, so we have to sweep up several times a day. We’ve lived and worked in Bhaura Colony for a long time now. We aren't a famous brand or anything like that. We just make simple clothes and sell them to people who need them. We drink a lot of tea and sometimes listen to the radio while we work. It is a tiring job, but we are glad to have our own little space here.
