Batra Karyana Store

Batra Karyana Store is our little shop in Ludhiana. We are located at 3329, 5, which is easy enough to find if you’re in the area. It’s a traditional karyana store, meaning we stock all the kitchen essentials like pulses, flour, oils, and spices. We’ve been here for years and the shop has seen a lot of history. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep everything anyone might ask for. If you need a specific type of lentil or just a bag of sugar, we probably have it tucked away on a shelf somewhere. The walls are lined with jars and packets. It’s a family-run place, so you’ll often see one of us sitting on the stool near the entrance, greeting people as they pass by. Ludhiana is a busy city, but our street feels a bit more like a community. We know which neighbor prefers which brand of tea. Sometimes we stay open a little later if we know someone is coming back late from work and needs milk. We don’t have a fancy computer system for everything; we still do a lot of things the old way with a pen and a notebook. It works for us. We just want to provide a honest service to the local families. There’s no big mystery to it. We just buy good stock and sell it at a fair price to the people we know.
