Anil Knitwears

Anil Knitwears is located down Street No. 6 in Guru Nanak Dev Nagar, over in the Basti Jodhewal area. It’s a busy part of town where there’s always something going on. Our building is a typical workspace for this neighborhood. We deal with knitwear, so there’s always plenty of yarn and finished pieces sitting around in bags or on shelves. It can get a bit crowded when we have a big batch of work going through, but we make it work. The sounds of the street come right in through the windows, so it never feels quiet here. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique. We just make clothes and handle the business as it comes. Most of our workers live close by, so it feels like a neighborhood project more than a cold office. We spend a lot of time sorting through colors and checking the stitching on things. It’s repetitive work, but it’s what we know. The office part is just a small desk in the corner with a lot of papers on it. We don’t have a website or a fancy logo. People just know us by our name and our location here in Basti Jodhewal. We open up early and stay until the work for the day is done, which is usually quite late in the evening when the street finally calms down a bit. It is just the way we operate.
