We mainly deal in karyana items, which means we have things like grains, spices, flour, and oils. The shop is a bit old-fashioned and we like it that way. We don't use any fancy computers or scanners, just a simple notebook and a pen to keep track of what people owe or what we need to buy. Since the shop is near the main road, there is often a bit of dust, so we have to spend time cleaning the jars and packets. It is a family business, so different family members take turns sitting at the counter throughout the day. We open up quite early because many people in this area start their work shifts and need to buy things before they go.
