Saumya Clothing Co

Saumya Clothing Co is located over at No. 1208 in Bajwa Nagar. We are really close to Kamla Lotia College, so there are always students walking past the building on their way to class. The street can get quite crowded, especially in the afternoons when everyone is out. Inside, we have rows of sewing machines and rolls of cloth piled up against the walls. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we get a large shipment of fabric in. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. The lighting isn't the best in the back, so we try to do the detailed work near the front windows. It gets loud with the machines humming all day. We mostly just focus on getting the garments finished on time without any mistakes. There’s always thread on the floor and scraps of fabric that need clearing at the end of the day. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decor. The building is functional, and that’s what matters for the kind of work we do here. Sometimes we lose track of time when we’re trying to finish a big batch of shirts or trousers for a client. It’s just a regular clothing shop, nothing more, nothing less. We’ve stayed in Bajwa Nagar because it’s where we started and we know the pace of the neighborhood. Every day is pretty much the same routine of cutting, sewing, and packing things up.
