Babbu General Store

Our shop, Babbu General Store, is located at Shop Number 2185 in the Main Market of Abdullapur. This is part of Abdullapur Basti in Ludhiana - 141003. One thing you will notice if you come here is that we are very near the railway crossing. You can hear the trains passing by quite often throughout the day. It’s a sound we have grown very used to over the years. The market here is always full of life, especially in the mornings when everyone is out getting their chores done. We have a lot of items crammed into the shelves. It might look a bit messy to some people, but we know exactly where everything is. If someone needs a specific brand of tea or a certain type of cleaning supply, we can usually find it in a few seconds. Running a store in Ludhiana means you have to be ready for anything. The weather gets really hot, then it rains, then it's cold, but the shop stays open. People around here are hardworking, and we try to be the same. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are. They come by, get their stuff, maybe chat for a minute about the weather or the trains, and then they go on with their day. It’s a very local way of doing things, and it works for us and the people who live in the Basti. We just keep going, day after day.
