Arora Karyana Store

Arora Karyana Store is right on the main G.T. Road, so we get a lot of dust and noise from all the trucks passing by. We are a simple grocery shop selling all the basics that people need for their kitchens. You’ll find big sacks of flour, rice, and different kinds of dal lined up against the walls. We also keep everyday things like soap, matches, and tea leaves on the wooden shelves. The shop is usually a bit dark inside, but we keep the front wide open so people can see what we have. Customers come in all day long, mostly locals who just want to pick up a few items for dinner. We use an old-fashioned scale to weigh out the sugar and grains, and the floor is a bit uneven from years of use. There is always a bit of a breeze coming from the road, which helps when the weather is humid. We don't do any big advertising; people just know we are here on the G.T. Road and stop by when they are passing through. It is a busy life, and we are usually on our feet from early morning until late evening, just keeping the bins full and the counter clear for the next person.
