If you find yourself down at Dhuri Line, you will probably see our spot in Sunder Singh Market at number 12. Anil Chawla is what people call the business. It’s a typical market stall, really. We have stuff piled up in the back and not much room to move around when more than two people are inside. The market stays busy from morning till late evening, so there is always a lot of dust and noise. We don’t mind it much. My father used to say that a quiet market is a dead market. We have been in this same spot for quite some time now. The door sticks a little when it rains, so you have to give it a good push to get in. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or anything like that. We just focus on the work we have to do. Sometimes we forget to eat lunch until it's nearly four in the afternoon because things get frantic. Our neighbors at the other stalls are good people and we all look out for each other. It’s a tight-knit place here at Sunder Singh Market. If you need to find us, just look for the number 12 sign that’s slightly tilted. We’re usually around.
