You can find Amir Apparels at No. 1446/10 in Chhoti Haibowal, which is just off Rajpura Road. This area has a lot of small businesses like ours, so we fit right in. We’ve been working from this location for quite a while now. It’s a straightforward setup. We have our workspace where we deal with the clothing, and a small area for keeping the finished pieces. Rajpura Road is always busy with traffic, so there’s a constant hum of engines in the background while we work. We don’t really have any big signs or anything to attract attention. Most people who know us just come by because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s a lot of routine. We start early in the morning, have our tea, and then get to work on the orders. Some days we are buried under piles of fabric, and other days we are just cleaning up and getting ready for the next week. It’s not always easy work, and your back can get a bit sore from all the bending over the tables, but it’s what we do. We like the fact that we are a local business and we don’t have to answer to anyone but ourselves. It’s a simple life on Chhoti Haibowal. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make good clothes and keep the business going for as long as we can. That's enough for us, really.
