Almas Wear is tucked away in 35-A, Model Town Extn. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main market, which we like. The shop isn't huge, but we manage to fit everything in. Most mornings we spend tidying up the racks and checking what needs to be folded again. It feels like we’re always folding something. We get people from the neighborhood mostly, just walking in to see what's new. We don't really do much advertising, just keep the door open. There's a little park nearby where we sometimes sit for lunch when the weather is nice. The sun comes in through the front window in the afternoons, which makes it a bit warm, so we keep the fan going high. It’s just a regular workplace. We handle the clothes, talk to the locals, and try to keep things organized. Sometimes the delivery guys have trouble finding the exact house number since the extension can be a bit confusing with all the similar looking gates, but we just tell them to look for the big tree near the corner. It's been a few years now. We know most of the people who walk past our window every day. It’s nice being part of the local scene here without being in the middle of a massive mall. We just do our work, pack the orders, and head home when the sun goes down. It's a quiet life but we stay busy enough.
