Akanksha International

Located at B-2 in Model Gram, Akanksha International is right near the Kochar Market Chowk. It’s a very busy intersection in Ludhiana. There’s always a lot of activity outside our door, with rickshaws and cars constantly moving. International trade and some local logistics are what we handle. The office is small and filled with files and samples. Phones and computers are where we spend our time checking where shipments are. It’s a lot of paperwork. Dealing with customs and shipping lines can be frustrating, but it’s what we do every day. The tea guy comes by twice a day and that’s usually when we take a break. Big signs or advertisements aren't something we use. People know where we are. The building is a bit old, and the stairs are narrow. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. That's just how things are here. All kinds of people pass through the chowk. It’s a good spot because everything is close by. We don't try to be anything we're not. Keeping the records straight and making sure the goods move from one place to another is the priority. It’s a steady pace. We leave around seven usually, once the market noise starts to die down a bit. In the winter, we all sit with small heaters under our desks. Ludhiana gets quite cold. Working through the seasons to handle orders is the routine. It keeps the days full and the office productive for everyone involved.
