Ahuja General Store

Ahuja General Store is located at Shop No. 1, Main Road, right at the CMC Hospital Chowk in Ludhiana. This is a very busy part of the city. Being so close to a major hospital means we see all sorts of people every day. Some are locals, but many are just passing through or staying nearby while a family member is being treated. Because of that, we try to stock things that people might need in a hurry. We have plenty of bottled water, tissues, basic toiletries, and packaged snacks. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We have shelves lining the walls and a counter that always seems to be covered in change and small packets of gum. It gets really loud outside with all the buses and rickshaws going towards the hospital. Sometimes it’s hard to hear what a customer is asking for over the noise of the traffic. We’ve been here for years, so we’re used to the fast pace. The shop is a bit cramped, and the ceiling fans don't always do a great job in the summer heat, but we stay open long hours to make sure we’re there when someone needs a quick loaf of bread or a bottle of juice. We aren't doing anything fancy here. We just try to keep the shelves full and the service quick so people can get back to whatever they were doing. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living.
