You can find Active Provision Stores over in the Hargobind Nagar area of Madiwala. We are a small neighborhood shop that focuses on basic provisions and household items. The space we have isn't very big, so we have to make use of every inch of the walls to hang things up or stack boxes. We sell things like soap, shampoo, snacks, and some basic cooking ingredients. It is a lot of work keeping everything organized, especially when new stock arrives and we have to find a place for it all. On rainy days, we have to move everything back from the front so it stays dry, and we usually have an old umbrella stand by the door for customers. We spend our time chatting with the regulars who live in the surrounding buildings. They might just stop by for a packet of chips or some detergent they ran out of. We do not do any big marketing or have any special sales. It is just a straightforward place where you can get what you need without any fuss. The traffic in Madiwala can be quite a headache, but inside the shop, it is usually just the sound of the ceiling fan and the radio. We open up in the morning and stay until the last few people have finished their evening shopping. It is just honest, daily work for us.
