We are based at No. 4872 in Street No. 2, right near Atam Nagar and Sunder Nagar. The State Bank of Patiala is quite close to us, which is a good way to tell people where we are. It’s a busy little pocket of the city. The building we are in has been around for quite some time, and it feels like a real part of the neighborhood. Inside, we have stacks of clothing that we’ve been working on. It’s mostly shirts and pants, the kind of things people wear every day. We aren't trying to be some big corporate brand. We just like making clothes that fit right and last for a bit. The desks are usually covered in measuring tapes, chalk, and half-finished pieces of cloth. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with all the thread, but we clean it up at the end of the shift. We know the people who work in the nearby shops, and often we’ll stand outside for a few minutes just to catch some fresh air. It’s a simple life here, focused on getting the orders out on time. The machines are old but they still work fine as long as we oil them regularly. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families in the evening. It is a bit loud and crowded, but we are used to it by now.
