Vasundhara Ecodevelopers Private Limited shares the same building as some other folks, over in the Eldeco Corporate Chamber in Vibhooti Khand, Gomtinagar. We’re also up on the second floor. Working in Lucknow, specifically in this area, you see a lot of concrete, so we try to think about the eco side of development, though we don't make a huge fuss about it. Our office is a practical space where we sit down to figure out how to make our projects a bit better for the surroundings. It’s not some high-tech lab; it’s just a room with some computers and a lot of maps. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or checking on regulations. Gomtinagar is pretty loud sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. We don’t have a massive team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. One day you’re filing papers, and the next you’re out in the dirt looking at a new site. We try to be sensible about how we develop land. It’s not about being the biggest company in the city; it’s just about doing a decent job on the projects we have. We like being in this part of Lucknow because it feels like the future of the city is being built right here. We just come in, do our hours, and try to make sure things are done right before we head home. It is a long day usually but we manage.
