Centre Of Excellence In Maritime & Shipbuilding (Cems)

We are based at Govind Plaza, right near Chinhat Tiraha on Faizabad Road in Lucknow. Our space is on the second floor, unit KH 3. It’s a busy intersection outside, so there’s always noise from the traffic. We deal with maritime and shipbuilding education and standards. It sounds like something you'd find on the coast, but we do the technical and theoretical work right here. The office has a few meeting rooms and a main area where most of us sit. It’s a professional enough environment, but we don't bother with anything too fancy. We have a lot of manuals and technical drawings lying around. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful if you're carrying anything big. We’ve been in this part of Lucknow for some time. Chinhat is a growing area, so it’s interesting to see how it changes. We spend our days looking at designs and talking to people in the shipping industry. It’s a niche field, but we stay busy. We aren't some giant corporation with hundreds of employees. We’re a dedicated team in a plaza. Most afternoons we take a break for some tea and a quick chat before getting back to the blueprints. It’s a solid place to work and we get a lot done. It is just a normal office where we do specific technical tasks.
