We know the local shopkeepers and the people living down the street. It is a quiet spot to handle the business side of things when we are not in the field. Most of our actual hours are spent out in the dirt and dust of a construction site anyway. We handle all the typical hurdles that come with building in this part of Uttar Pradesh. Materials can be tricky to get delivered on time, and the labor market shifts around a lot, but we manage to get through it. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing person writing scripts for us. We just talk to people plainly and tell them what can be done and what cannot. If someone has a question, they usually just come by the house or give us a call on the mobile. It is a practical way to run a business and it has worked for us so far.
