Lacto Organicfarm (India) Private Limited is based out in Kolpatq, which is part of the Latur district. We are right in the middle of the 413512-postal area in Maharashtra. Being out here puts us close to the actual land, which is exactly where we want to be. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we track our organic projects. We have a lot of interest in organic methods, but we aren't here to give speeches about it. We just do the work. The days are long and often involve getting our boots dirty. We have to deal with the weather and the soil, which don't always cooperate. Inside the office, things are usually a bit cluttered with soil samples and maps of the fields. We started this company because we saw a gap in how things were being done locally. It’s a small operation with just a handful of staff who really know their stuff. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. Most of our connections come from just talking to other farmers and people in the trade. It’s a quiet life in Latur, but we stay busy. We take things one day at a time and try to keep our records as neat as we can manage. It is a slow process but we like seeing things grow.
