Madhab-Dev Tea Producer Company Limited

We are situated out in Madhupur, near Bhogpur Chariali in Lakhimpur. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s a beautiful area for growing tea. Our company is a tea producer group made up of people from the village and the surrounding parts of Narayanpur. We don't have any big-city offices. Everything happens right here near the fields where the tea actually grows. When you walk around the village, you see people who have been working with tea for generations. We decided to come together as a company to make it easier to process our leaves and get them to the buyers. The work is mostly manual and involves a lot of sweat, especially when the humidity is high in the summer. We meet up at our spot in Madhupur to talk about the harvest and how we are going to handle the next few months. It’s a very grounded way to live. We don't have any promotional slogans or anything like that. We just grow tea, pick it, and try to make sure it’s decent quality. Sometimes the season is hard and we don't get as much as we hoped, but we just keep at it. People in Lakhimpur are used to hard work. We are just a local group trying to make a living off the land we have. It is simple work but it keeps us busy through the year.
