Hotel Chamunda Bhojanalay

Hotel Chamunda Bhojanalay is out on the Mandvi Mundra Highway. We are in the 370465 area, sitting right opposite the Bauter Jinalay temple. Because we are on the highway, there are always trucks passing by, kicking up dust from the road. It’s a dry area, so the sun beats down on the roof most of the day. The building is a simple one-story place where we serve food and have a few rooms. We start early in the kitchen, getting the pots and pans ready for the travelers who stop by. The smell of cooking usually fills the whole place by ten in the morning. Outside, the ground is mostly dirt and gravel where people park their vehicles. We have a few benches where people sit to wait for their food or just take a break from driving. Across the road, the temple is quiet and white, which is a nice thing to look at during the day. We don't have any fancy menus or decorations. Everything is just plain and functional. Sometimes the wind blows hard and we have to shut all the doors to keep the sand out. The staff here is just a few local people who know the highway well. We keep the water tanks filled and make sure there is enough tea for everyone. It’s a dusty, busy spot on the road to Mundra, and we just keep it running day by day.
