Sarveshwar Udyog

Sarveshwar Udyog is located out at Plot No. 313 in the Gidc Estate. If you drive through the estate, you’ll see plenty of workshops doing all sorts of things, and we are just one of them. Our space is filled with the usual stuff you’d find in a small industrial unit. There are tools, some raw materials stacked in the corners, and a desk that usually has way too many papers on it. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a shiny lobby or leather chairs. It’s a place where work actually happens, so there’s usually some grease or metal shavings on the floor. We start the machines up in the morning and keep them running until the shift is over. It gets loud, so we have to shout sometimes to hear each other over the clatter. The roof is high, which helps when it gets hot in the summer months. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we’ve become like a small community. We drink tea together during the breaks and talk about the news or the weather. We take our jobs seriously because we know the parts we make are going to be used by someone else down the line. It’s a straightforward life here at Plot 313. We do the manufacturing, pack it up, and wait for the pickup truck to arrive. There is always something that needs fixing, but that just keeps us busy and moving.
