Around Ward 12B, things are usually pretty busy with people coming and going. We’ve been set up at Plot No. 326 for a good while now, mostly focusing on Rutva Handicraft and whatever projects come through the door. It’s not a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, it’s a lot of hand tools, bits of wood, and the smell of whatever material we’re working on that day. My desk is always a mess with sketches and half-finished pieces, but I know where everything is. If you send mail to P. O. Box No. 266, it eventually makes its way to us, though we spend most of our time out on the shop floor rather than checking the mailbox. We’ve got a small crew here and everyone knows their job. Some days are loud with the sound of work, and other days it’s just us quietly finishing up the small details that make a piece look right. We don’t really have a sales team or someone to write fancy flyers. It’s just about getting the work done and making sure it doesn’t fall apart after a month. People in the neighborhood know where we are, right there on Plot 326. It can get dusty, especially in the afternoons when the wind picks up, but that’s just part of making things by hand. We like the pace of it. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough to not worry about the small stuff too much.
