Our place is at Shop 73-74 in DC 3, over in Adipur, Kachchh. If you know where the police station is on Rambaug Road, we are right behind it. Having two shop numbers sounds like a lot, but they’re joined together to make one decent-sized room. Adipur is a quiet town compared to the bigger cities, but Rambaug Road stays fairly busy during the daytime. We usually open up around nine in the morning. The first thing we do is sweep out the dust that blows in from the road overnight. Kachchh can get very dusty and hot, so we keep the fans running at full speed most of the year. Our furniture is just some old wooden tables and chairs that have been around as long as the shop has. We keep our records in big paper binders because that’s how we’ve always done it. There isn't much to see if you're looking for something modern or stylish. It’s just a functional space where we handle our business. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when it gets too stuffy inside. The neighbors often drop by for a quick chat, and we do the same. It’s the kind of place where things move a bit slower, and we’re perfectly fine with that. We just do our bit and go home when the sun goes down.
