Seth Tek Chand Memorial Public School

We've been here on Sirsala Road in Kurukshetra for a while now. Seth Tek Chand Memorial Public School is just a regular place where local kids come to study every morning. You can find us pretty easily if you're heading down the main road. The gate is usually open by 7:30. It’s not a fancy building with glass walls or anything, just solid brick and mortar where we try to keep things organized. Most of us living nearby know the spot. The classrooms have desks that have seen a few years of use, and the playground gets quite dusty in the summer months, but that's just how it is here. We have a bell that rings for every period, and you can hear it from the street. Parents often drop their kids off on scooters or walk them to the entrance. It gets busy during the morning rush. We focus on the books and making sure everyone follows the rules. There’s a small garden area near the front office that we try to water when we have the time. It isn't much, but it makes the place look a bit better. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees come over, which can be a bit of a hassle for the staff. We just keep going day by day, teaching the lessons and making sure the children are safe until their parents pick them up at the end of the day.
