Indus Public School

Our school sits about three kilometers out on Dhand Road here in Kaithal. It is a quiet spot away from the main town noise, which is nice for the kids when they are trying to focus in class. Most of the people around here know us because we’ve been part of the Dhand area for a good while now. Every morning, the yellow buses start rolling in from the nearby villages and the main parts of town. You can hear the chatter of the students long before the first bell rings. We have different buildings for the various grades and a bit of space for the children to run around during their breaks. It is nothing too fancy, just a solid place where learning happens every day. The teachers live nearby mostly, so they know the families and the local issues. We spend a lot of time making sure the classrooms are clean and ready for the day. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that is just part of being out here. It feels like a small community inside the gates. Parents often stop by the office to check on things or just to have a quick word about their child’s progress. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It is just a regular school trying to do right by the local kids and making sure they have a place to study near home.
