Dav Siwan Public School

If you head down Cheeka Road, you will eventually run into Dav Siwan Public School. We are situated in the V. & P.O. Siwan area, which is a place where most people know their neighbors. The school is a big part of the local life here. We have a gate that stays open during the day and a yard where the students spend their time between classes. It’s not a fancy setup with the latest high-tech gadgets, but we have solid walls and a roof that keeps the rain out. We spend our hours teaching the basics and making sure the kids are doing their work. Our staff comes from around the village and nearby areas, so we are all part of the same community. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into the front office, so we’re always dusting things off. It is a noisy place when the bell rings, but that is to be expected at a school. We deal with the usual stuff like fixing broken desks or ordering more chalk and notebooks. People stop by to ask questions or just to say hello while they are out on Cheeka Road. We just try to keep things running smoothly and make sure the students have a place to sit and learn every day. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, year after year.
