Gita Niketan Awasiya Vidyalaya

We have been here on Salarpur Road in Kurukshetra for quite a long time now. It is a busy place, especially in the mornings when everything starts moving. Being a residential school, the energy never really stops. You can hear the sounds of students getting ready or playing out on the grounds from pretty early on. The building itself has seen a lot of seasons pass by. We don't try to be anything fancy, just a place where kids can live and learn together without too much fuss. People around here know where we are because we've become a bit of a fixture on this road. Sometimes the gate gets a bit stuck in the rainy season, but we manage. The staff mostly lives nearby or right on the premises, so we are like a small village inside the walls. You see the same faces every day, and that creates a kind of familiarity you don't find in big city schools. We focus on the daily routine, making sure the bells ring on time and the meals are ready. It's hard work running a place like this, but it’s what we do. The trees in the yard have grown tall over the years, providing some nice shade during those hot Haryana summers. We just keep going, day after day, trying to keep things organized and making sure the students have what they need for their classes and their stay here.
