Govt. Girls Middle School

Govt. Girls Middle School is located in Sarsa, which is a part of the Kurukshetra district. This is a government school specifically for girls in their middle school years. The building is an older one, typical of the area, with wide corridors and high ceilings. We spend a lot of our time out in the courtyard when the weather allows for it. It is a simple life here in Sarsa. The girls come from the surrounding villages and the town itself. Most of them walk or come by cycle. We have our daily routine of prayers and then classes. It is not a fancy place, and we often have to make do with what we are given. The desks are old, and the blackboards have been used for years. We do our best to keep the environment decent for everyone. Kurukshetra has a lot of history, and you can feel a bit of that quietness here. Our staff consists of teachers who have been in the service for a long time. We do not have a lot of extra resources, so we just stick to the basics. The school day ends in the early afternoon, and then the place gets very quiet again. We lock the main doors and head home ourselves. It is a straightforward job, and we take it one day at a time. The local community knows us well, and we have seen many groups of girls pass through.
