Kurnool Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically just us guys here in the area. We have this little spot at 2-116. It isn't much to look at, just a regular building where we store some things and keep the paperwork in some old folders. Kurnool gets really hot, and sometimes we just sit in the shade near the door and talk about the ground. The soil here can be stubborn. We aren't some big group with shiny cars. We have our old bikes and some of us walk. We decided to come together as a company because it was getting hard to do everything alone. When you are just one person, the markets don't always listen to you. At 2-116, we try to keep things organized, but there’s always dust on the table no matter how much we wipe it. We talk about seeds mostly. What worked last year and what didn't. My neighbor Rama always has something to say about the fertilizer. We don't have a boss who wears a suit. We just take turns figuring out what needs to be done. It’s a lot of manual work. My back hurts most evenings. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just have our names and this address. People around here know us. We are just trying to get a fair price for the crops we grow with our own hands.
