Jasmine Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are located in Pusulur village, which is part of the Kallur area in Kurnool. Our house number is 1-40-19. We are a producer company, which basically means a bunch of us farmers got together to handle our jasmine crops together. Growing jasmine is a lot of work. You have to pick the flowers at exactly the right time, and they are very delicate. We decided it was better to work together than to try and do everything alone. That is how this company started. We use our space here to gather the flowers and figure out where they need to go next. It is not a corporate office by any means. It smells like flowers most of the time, which is a nice change from the dust of the road. We have members from all around Pusulur and the nearby villages. Everyone knows everyone else. It makes the work a bit easier when you can trust the people you are working with. Sometimes we have meetings right here on the porch to talk about prices or the harvest. It is a very local way of doing things. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the jasmine and making sure the farmers get a fair deal for their hard work in the fields. It's just a group of us trying to make the most of what we grow here in Kurnool.
