Our small setup is based in the village of Dobhi, up in the Kullu valley. We are located at Smt Jai Devi’s place. It’s a beautiful spot, surrounded by orchards and mountains. As the Upper Valley Farmer Producer Company Limited, we focus on the people living and farming around here. Kullu is famous for its fruit, and that’s what we spend most of our time dealing with. We don't have a big staff. It’s just a few of us who know the local land. We meet at the house in Dobhi to plan out the season. There are no fancy offices or corporate rules. We just do what makes sense for the farmers in our tehsil. The post office is right in the village, so that's convenient for our paperwork. We don't do any advertising. Word of mouth is how people know about us. Sometimes we have to deal with bad weather or road closures, but that's part of living in the mountains. We take things as they come. Our goal is just to keep the local farming community strong. It’s a practical, everyday kind of job. We are just local folks working for other local folks. We spend our time in the orchards more than we do behind a desk, and we prefer it that way.
