P V M Hollowbricks

Our yard is located at 2-13 A in Gundalapatti, right near Nattankottai. It’s a quiet area mostly, apart from when we’re running the block machines. We specialize in hollow bricks, which are popular around here lately. The setup is pretty basic. We have the mixing area, the molding machines, and then a big flat space for the blocks to cure. Curing takes time and you can't rush it or the blocks will just crumble. We learned that the hard way a few times when we first started out. Now we’ve got a better handle on the timing. There’s a small group of us who handle everything from mixing the cement to loading the trucks. We don't have a sales team or anything. People just see the sign near Nattankottai and follow the road down to us. Most of our customers are locals building their own homes or small shops. We try to keep the prices fair because we know how expensive building can be. The machinery can be temperamental, so one of us is usually tinkering with a motor or a belt at least once a week. It’s just the way it is with this kind of work. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide solid blocks for the neighborhood and keep the business running for another year.
