Down here in Changanassery, things move at their own pace, and that is definitely true for us at St Joseph College Of Communications. We are located in Kurisummood, which is a part of town that has its own character. If you’re coming through Kottayam with the 686101 pincode, you’ll eventually find your way to our gates. The college has been part of the landscape here for a good while, and most of the folks in Changanacherry have seen the students walking back and forth to the local shops during their breaks. It is not just a bunch of classrooms; it is more like a community where we are all just trying to figure out the best way to talk about the world. The walls have plenty of posters and the rooms are usually filled with the sound of someone working on a project or just chatting in the hallways. We didn't build this place to look like a high-tech lab, even though we deal with communication and all that. It feels more like home. Some of the desks are old and the fans might creak a bit when it gets really humid in Kerala, but the work gets done anyway. We aren't interested in sounding like a big business. We are just a local college in Kurisummood where people come to learn and we do our best to keep things running smooth day after day. It's just a normal place for normal people.
