Emmanuels Higher Secondary School

Emmanuels Higher Secondary School is located in Kothanalloor, right along the MC Road. If you have ever traveled on that particular route, you have probably driven past our main gates many times without even thinking about it. The MC Road is almost always busy with buses, trucks, and cars moving back and forth, so there is a lot of noise and movement right outside our walls. Once you step inside, however, it feels a lot more settled. We have been here in Kothanalloor for a long time, and this building has seen many different generations of students come and go. It is a sturdy, older place that was built to last for years. We do not have any of those modern features like glass elevators or fancy air-conditioned cafeterias. We just have standard classrooms with desks and boards, and that has always worked fine for us. There are some local shops nearby where the staff usually go to get their tea or a quick snack during the day. Since we are positioned on such a main road, it makes it very easy for people to find where we are. Sometimes the sound of the traffic gets a bit loud during the lessons, but the teachers and the students have mostly learned to ignore it. It just becomes part of the background of the day. We have many kids from the neighboring villages who take the public bus to get here. Kothanalloor is a good, steady community to be a part of. We just keep doing the work of running the school every day.
