Mahatma Gandhi University

Being located inside the Mar Baselios Dental College at Thanakalam makes things interesting. We are part of the Mahatma Gandhi University system, but this specific spot in Thanakalam is where the daily action happens. You’ll see people in white coats walking back and forth all day. It’s a lot of clinical talk and students rushing to get to their next session. The building is sturdy and has been here for a good while. Inside, the hallways are usually cool, which is a relief from the heat outside. We have our offices tucked away. It’s not a place with a lot of soft carpets or fancy lighting. It’s very practical. The chairs in the waiting areas are functional. We have a lot of books and files piled up in the corners. People from the university come and go for inspections or meetings. Thanakalam itself is a bit of a quiet area, but the college keeps it busy. You hear the sounds of the dental equipment sometimes. It’s just the backdrop of the day. We don’t put up a lot of posters or advertisements. We just focus on the students and the requirements. Sometimes the rain makes the ground outside a bit muddy. We just wipe our boots and keep moving. That’s life here. It’s a place that feels lived in and focused on the work. There isn't much to say beyond that. The days go by fast when there is so much to do.
