St Joseph College Of Communication

This college is located in Changanacherry, right in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. We focus on media and communication, so the place is always full of students carrying cameras or sitting around with laptops. It’s not your usual quiet academic spot; there is usually something being filmed or edited in the rooms. The building has been here for a while and we’ve seen a lot of changes in the local area. Changanacherry is a nice place to work, though the humidity can be a bit much sometimes, making the studio spaces feel a bit stuffy. We have a decent library and some technical labs where the students spend most of their time. The staff here is a mix of people who have worked in the industry and those who have been teaching for a long time. We don't spend much time on fancy brochures or big marketing pushes. Most people find out about us through others who have studied here. The daily routine is pretty standard, with classes starting in the morning and going on until the late afternoon. During the breaks, the corridors get quite loud with everyone talking about their projects. We try to keep the equipment in working order, which is a constant job since it gets used so much. It's a practical environment where people come to learn the actual work of communication. We just keep our heads down and help the students through their courses. Every year brings new faces and new challenges for the team.
