Arshad Stone Suppliers has its place over at 3. F 10 in Vigyan Nagar. Kota is a place where everyone thinks about schools and coaching, but there are businesses like ours too. We handle a lot of different stones here. The yard isn't huge but we keep it organized so we can find things when someone comes looking. It gets pretty loud during the day because of the cutting and the traffic on the road nearby. We usually have a couple of guys helping with the heavy lifting. I spend most of my morning checking the inventory and seeing what arrived on the last truck. Sometimes the delivery is late because of traffic or the weather, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around, just a steady one that stays open. People come by and ask for prices, and we tell them what we have. If we don’t have it, we might know where they can find it. It’s a lot of manual labor and dealing with the heat. In the afternoons, things slow down a bit and we sit in the small office area to catch up on some paperwork. We don’t have a website or fancy brochures, we just rely on people knowing we are here in Vigyan Nagar. It is a simple setup but it works for us and the people who have been buying from us for years.
