We are based in Kota Junction at Gobariya Bawdi, right at number 49. Being in Kota, stones are a big part of everything here. Akbar Stone Co is where we spend our time moving, cutting, and sorting different types of stone slabs. It’s a very heavy and dusty job. You can’t go a day without getting white dust all over your clothes and shoes. Our yard is usually full of inventory, so there isn't much room to move around. We have a few workers who have been with us for years, and they know exactly how to handle the material so it doesn't crack. The noise of the saws is constant during the day, so we have to shout to hear each other. It’s not a place for someone who likes to stay clean. We deal with builders and people who are working on their own houses. They come by the junction, look at what we have, and we figure out the delivery. There are no fancy brochures or high-pressure sales here. We just show you what is in stock and tell you the price. The weather in Kota gets incredibly hot, which makes the stone even harder to work with, but we just keep at it. It’s a basic business built on grit and heavy lifting. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The stack of marble in the back has been there for months waiting for the right project.
