Parambi Farmers Producer Company

We are based out of Bheru Gali in the Rampura Bazar area. Parambi Farmers Producer Company was set up because a few of us decided it was better to work together than alone. Being in Rampura Bazar means we are right in the thick of things. The street, Bheru Gali, is usually packed with carts and people moving goods back and forth. We deal with agricultural stuff, mostly whatever the farmers in our group are bringing in from the fields. It isn’t a very big office, just a room where we keep our records and meet up to talk about the crops and the market prices. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but that is part of the job. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a website with flashy photos. Most people find us by just asking around the bazaar. We handle the sorting and the paperwork so the farmers can focus on their land. It gets dusty and loud outside, but inside we just try to stay organized. We’ve known each other for years, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We drink a lot of chai and argue about the best time to sell. It is just a group of practical people trying to make a living from what grows in the dirt. We take things as they come and try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It is hard work, and the profit isn't always huge, but it is ours.
