Deshpandes Farm

Deshpandes Farm is located out on Bajaj Khana Bundi Main Road. To find us, you have to look for the Daya Khedo Kahadi area, which is right near the Roj Kamal Petrol Pump. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the city center, but it’s a nice drive. The farm has been in the family for a long time. We spend most of our time out in the fields or checking on things. It’s not like a regular shop where you sit behind a counter all day. There is always something that needs fixing or moving. The main road is busy, but once you get onto the farm, it’s a lot quieter. We are close to the petrol pump, which is helpful for landmarks when people are trying to find us for the first time. The weather really dictates our day. If it rains, we do one thing; if it’s dry, we do another. It’s a simple, honest way to live. We don't have a big office, just a small place to keep the records and have a cup of tea. Deshpandes Farm is just our home and our work all mixed into one. We don't use any fancy techniques. We just do what we have learned over the years. It’s a lot of physical labor and long hours, but we are used to it. If you’re on the Bundi Main Road, you’ll see the turn-off near the pump. It is a good place to work every day.
