We have our setup at number 55 in the Chhabra Fruit Subji Mandi. Even though the name says Pvt Ltd, we are just a small group of people working in a regular market stall. We focus on organic produce, which means we spend a lot of time checking our sources. The Chhabra market is a busy place, and being at stall 55 means we get a lot of foot traffic. It’s not a polished environment. There are piles of crates everywhere and the floor is usually a bit damp from the vegetables. We don't use any corporate lingo or try to sound bigger than we are. We just prefer selling things that haven't been sprayed with too much junk. It’s a lot of work to keep the organic stuff separate and fresh. We don't have a big advertising campaign; we just talk to the people who stop by our stall. Sometimes they are skeptical, and we just tell them what we know. It’s a simple way of doing things. Our days start before the sun comes up and usually end when we’re too tired to stand anymore. We don't have fancy office chairs, just some old wooden benches and a table for the register. It’s basic, but it’s our life. We’re just trying to make a living like everyone else in the subji mandi, one crate at a time, and that’s basically all there is to Gross Roots Organic Pvt Ltd.
