Girish Trading Co. is tucked away in the Kota New Dhan Mandi, which is a place that never really seems to sleep. If you have ever been to the grain market, you know it is all about the trucks, the heavy sacks, and the constant hum of people bargaining. Our days are tied to the seasons and whatever crops are coming in at the time. We spend a lot of time standing around the piles of grain, checking the quality with our hands and talking to the farmers who bring their loads in. The office is small and usually smells like dry wheat and jute bags. We have been part of this market for a while, and we know the other traders and the laborers who do the heavy lifting. It is a dusty environment, and by the end of the day, our clothes are usually covered in a fine layer of grit. We don't have much use for fancy talk or complicated systems. We just use our scales, our ledgers, and our experience to get through the day's trade. When the market is in full swing, it can be quite overwhelming, but that is just how the Dhan Mandi works. We take our tea breaks when we can and try to keep up with the prices that seem to change every few hours.
