Our site is out at Kattadi, specifically at the Ottumala location in Pooyappally. We handle the crushing of stones and various granite works here at Malayill Crushers. If you’ve ever been near a crusher, you know it’s a place where things get loud and dusty very quickly. We have the big machines that break down the rocks into smaller pieces for roads and construction. It’s a tough environment, but it’s what we know. The office is just a small part of the building labeled PP X/417. Most of the action happens out in the yard where the loaders are moving piles of gravel and stone around. We’ve been doing this for a long time in this part of the region. It’s not a fancy job by any means. Our clothes are usually covered in stone dust by noon. We work according to the demand from local builders and road contractors. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work, especially when the monsoon hits and the site gets muddy. We just deal with it and keep the equipment maintained as best we can. It’s a small crew of us who have been together for years. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us by word of mouth or by seeing our trucks on the road. We’re just local people providing the basic materials that everyone needs to build something. It isn't complicated, but it takes a lot of effort to keep things running smoothly every day.
