Sankaramangalam Hollow Bricks

Sankaramangalam Hollow Bricks is over at Building No. 73F in the Nedugolam Post area. It’s not a hard place to find if you are driving through. We have been working out of this building for some time now. The yard is usually full of hollow bricks waiting to be moved. It’s noisy work, especially when the mixers are going, but we are used to it by now. The air usually smells like wet cement and dust. We don’t have a fancy lobby or people in suits walking around. It’s mostly just guys in work clothes and boots. We start the day early before the sun gets too high because the physical labor is a lot easier when it is cool. By the afternoon, we are all ready for a break. We handle things in a very straightforward way. If someone needs bricks, they come talk to us at the desk. We don't use much technology besides what is necessary to run the machines. It’s a very hands-on kind of life here in Nedugolam. We’ve seen the local roads get busier over the years, but our spot stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is a basic operation, but it keeps everyone here busy. We are just glad to be a local fixture in this part of town and we don't plan on changing how we do things anytime soon.
